about

On the 15th Anniversary of the original CD release date, Bud Metal Records proudly presents Avitas first full-length album "Trends in Terrorism." Available for the first time in digital format, and featuring a new album cover portraying the destruction of Palmyra. After the terrorist attacks of 9/11 this prophetic album was blacklisted from radio and pretty much everywhere else, even though it came out in March 2001 and was mostly instrumental. The original video portrayed Taliban and Al-Qaeda militants in Afghanistan training in 1999, and it was also banned. The original album was almost completely instrumental, but for the first time ever the 2004 vocal sessions of former Avitas vocalist Cormier are made available as bonus tracks on this 15th Anniversary Edition, exclusively on Bandcamp. This early album shows the older era of Avitas, with a more black/thrash/death metal mix as opposed to the raw occult black metal albums of the current Avitas discography.
